A play with music about fame, sexuality, and unrequited love.

This is Jude's big break. He's an unknown folk musician from the middle of nowhere supporting one of the biggest pop stars in the world. But when nepo baby Zoe sits him down to explain some hard truths about the music industry, the world of public relations, and the relationship status of the man he's slowly falling in love with, his faith in himself and his love of the music starts to crumble.

Can he survive the tour with his integrity intact? Does he even want to?

Returning to the Old Red Lion after premiering at FreshFest 2025, Green is an electric new play with music about loving the wrong people and trying to hold onto your soul in a world where you can't succeed if you have one.

  • Stamatis is a Greek-South African composer, performer, multi-instrumentalist and MD. Their music ranges from film and theatre soundtracks to R&B/Soul and jazz.

They’re currently working as Musical Supervisor for AIDA Cruises, and as Musical Director/Arranger for “LEVEL UP!” - a new musical written by Lucy Watson, with music composed by Julian Kirk, and directed by Patrick Wilson, heading to Edinburgh Fringe this summer.

They just finished working on the score and sound design for SEAL BOY, directed by Sean Turner. SEAL BOY marks the second collaboration between Sean and Stamatis, their first being A Midsummer Night’s Dream (starring Kerry Ellis, Jonathan Hyde, Dan Burton and Milly Zero).

In-between, they’re writing and producing an R&B/Soul album with Rae Morgan for their band, Rae & the Seraphim; gigging around London as a pianist/vocalist/saxophonist for The Bakelites jazz band; and working on solo music.

Stamatis started performing live when they were 14 years old, playing piano and singing in a 10-piece jazz band with their parents. They started writing music at an early age and quickly knew they wanted to write film scores and play jazz.

After studying music at the Ionian University in Corfu, Greece, they got accepted into a two-year accelerated vocational Musical Theatre course at The Musical Theatre Academy (The MTA) in London. Since graduating, they’ve been working as a drama/singing teacher, writing music for podcasts and short films, playing and performing in cabarets and sailing around the world working as Musical Supervisor for AIDA Cruises.

They were also a student of legendary jazz teacher and pianist Dr Barry Harris until his passing in 2021.

They’re represented by JBR Creative Management.

Stamatis is non-binary and their pronouns are they/he.
